in this video weamp;#39;re gonna tackle another super common issue faced by composers which is how to take a short musical idea and develop it into a full-length piece I know that when I first started writing music this was one of the most frustrating things that I had to teach myself I could sit down at a piano and come up with a bunch of different licks or motifs but would really struggle to turn them into full-length pieces fortunately Iamp;#39;ve been able to learn how to navigate this part of the composing process much more confidently over the years and in this video Iamp;#39;d like to share with you one of the templates I use what I need to very quickly develop a short idea into a full piece as a quick disclaimer this video will stick mostly to just developing melodies Iamp;#39;ll touch on a few concepts like rhythm and harmony but in order to keep this video relatively short Iamp;#39;m not gonna stray very far from the concept of developing motifs into full length melodies
