Hello, Im glad you dropped by. I just read your email and saw that you had some questions about how to mark CUI. Since youre here, Im happy to run through some slides I made thatll teach you all about how to mark CUI. Before we start talking about all of that, the first thing to know is why it is important to mark CUI or sensitive information in a standardized way. The answer is that while agencies in the government have been marking sensitive information for decades, every agency had its own methods, acronyms, and labels. This hindered sharing information and created inconsistency in the handling and safeguarding of that information. What standardized CUI markings try to accomplish is to make sure CUI is adequately protected by all agencies and to facilitate timely information sharing to authorized recipients. SLIDE 1 This presentation is going to address all of the marking requirements for CUI including: the application of a designation indicator and the banner marking and what e

The university grading system follows a basic 1 10 scale, with 1 being the least and 10 being the most you can receive. These university grades also correspond to a percentage equivalency: 1 means 0-5% correct. 2 means 5-15% correct.
At most schools, a D is the lowest passing grade. That means students who earn a D or higher receive credit for the course. However, some schools set special policies around D grades. For example, at Lehigh, a D counts as a passing grade but does not meet prerequisite requirements.
A letter grade of a D is technically considered passing because it not a failure. A D is any percentage between 60-69%, whereas a failure occurs below 60%. Even though a D is a passing grade, its barely passing.
Student work in University courses shall generally be reported in terms of the following grades: A, A-, excellent performance, superior achievement; B+, B, B-, good performance, substantial achievement; C+, C, C-, standard performance and achievement; D+, D, D-, substandard performance, marginal
There is no standard grading scale at UF. For general purposes, passing grades are A, B+, B, B-, C+, C, C-, D+, D, D- and S. Failing grades are E and U. However, note that C- is not a passing grade for courses in the major, General Education, or Gordon Rule credit.
For example, the University of Utah states that a grade below C-minus is not accepted by the university toward a graduate degree. Departments can also set an even higher minimum passing grade. At the University of Texas at Austin, graduate students must earn a C or higher to receive credit toward their degree.
