We do not recommend switching your ink type. You always want to make sure that you are using the same ink type for the entire life of your printer. Each ink type has a different chemical composition and thickness.
Our inks have an expiration of two years from when it is loaded into the cartridge. You dont have to worry about the quality of the ink going down before the expiration date, but we do recommend changing it out once it is expired. Expired ink can cause color issues and clogged nozzles.
That said, to ensure proper performance and proper color matching, two different brands of sublimation ink must never be mixed together directly.
Designed for EPSON cartridges only: Other brands of ink supplies are not compatible and, if described as compatible, may not function properly or continuously.
Dye-sublimation ink produces prints that are more durable and resistant to fading than inkjet. The dye-sublimation process transfers the dye into the substrate rather than depositing it on the surface, resulting in a more permanent image.
Definitely not. Printers can be switched but not on an as needed basis. You must completely flush the system. Reason being the color and chemical make up of the inks are not the same.
