- Yooo! Whatamp;#39;s up? This is Patrick from Guy in a Cube. And in this video I want to start talking about all those great functions that were released in Power BI. Weamp;#39;re gonna start with the index function. Stay tuned. (upbeat music) If you find this for the very first time be sure to hit that subscribe button to stay up to date from all the videos from both Adam and this guy. All right, Jeffrey Wang wrote some really good blog posts to talk about this. Chris Webb wrote an excellent blog post, and if you havenamp;#39;t checked them out, Iamp;#39;ll put links to both of those blog posts in the description below. Weamp;#39;re gonna start here on Guy in a Cube with the index function. And I like the index function because itamp;#39;s the simplest of the three I think. And somebody asked me a question about doing something and I was able to solve and using the index function. And youamp;#39;ll see what it is when what, you know like we like to do. Instead of all this talk

On the front of each index card, write an answer or an explanation for the question or term. on the back. Use your notes and text for a reference, but put the answer or explanation in your own words whenever possible. Shuffle the index cards so you cant figure out any answers based on their location in the deck.
0:15 2:32 Itself if you want to add in additional cards. Just right click on or between cards. And chooseMoreItself if you want to add in additional cards. Just right click on or between cards. And choose insert new scene every index card is linked to one scene. If you want to see the other side of the card.
There are several ways to write a story using index cards. One way is to write a one-line synopsis of each specific scene that you think should be in your story, one scene per card. Dont worry about writing them down in any specific order. Just write them down as fast as you think of them(1).
If youre writing a movie script, divide the cards into four piles: Act 1, Act 2A, Act 2B, Act 3. Sort the cards into what pile you feel like they might go in. Then work through each pile, scene by scene, trying to construct a linear flow. Some scenes will feel out of place, so you move them to another pile.
Many professional screenwriters use index cards to outline their screenplays and organize the scenes within their scripts. Each index card represents a scene or sequence.
And when you have 70 scenes, you have a feature film. So on each card, you write the heading of the scene. Then the next card, the second scene, the 3rd scene, 4th scene. So you have 70 cards, each with the name of the scene.
