amp;gt;amp;gt; [MUSIC] amp;gt;amp;gt; Hello, everyone. My name is Maria Voina and Iamp;#39;m a Technical Advisor for Azure Identity Management here at Microsoft. Today we will talk about unmanaged Azure Active Directories. We will cover what they are and how you can take over the administration of such a tenant. Letamp;#39;s start by defining what an unmanaged directory or viral tenant is. In short, an unmanaged directory is a directory with no global administrator that gets automatically created during user self-service signup. Azure Active Directory allows you to add custom domain names like contoso.com to the directories you have created. This allows you to create user names that are familiar to your users like Erika@contoso.com. When you register the custom domain name, you need to add your DNS information to the domain register and then verify the domain in Azure AD. It will look like this. However, Azure AD also allows you to configure self-service signups, which allows use

Shared computer activation is required for scenarios where multiple users share the same computer and the users are logging in with their own account. Normally, users can and activate Microsoft 365 Apps only on a limited number of devices, such as 5 PCs.
The Office Deployment Tool (ODT) is a command-line tool that you can use to download and deploy Click-to-Run versions of Office, such as Microsoft 365 Apps for enterprise, to your client computers.
Open any Office program, such as Word. Go to File Account About Word (or whatever the name of the app is). On the second line from the top, underneath the MSO version number, you should see Shared Computer Activation, instead of a Product ID, like in the following screenshot.
Example of a standard configuration file The ODT consists of two files: setup.exe and configuration. xml. To work with the tool, you edit the configuration file to define what options you want, and then run setup.exe from the command line.
What is a Shared Computer and why does this matter? There are quite a few scenarios where computers are shared, for example shift workers in an office where 2 or 3 people use the same PC over a 24 hour period; a PC in a warehouse or shop that several people log on to; maybe a shared PC in a meeting or conference room.
By default, the dSHeuristics attribute does not exist and, unless otherwise specified, the default value of each character in the dSHeuristics string is 0. When modifying an existing dSHeuristics string, the values of all existing characters that are not of interest to the modification MUST be preserved.
SharedComputerLicensing property (part of Property element) Default value is 0 if not specified. Set SharedComputerLicensing to 1 if you deploy Microsoft 365 Apps to shared computers by using Remote Desktop Services. For more information, see Overview of shared computer activation for Microsoft 365 Apps.
An ODT file is an OpenDocument text document file. Open one with Word, OpenOffice Writer, Word Online, or Google Docs. Convert to a similar format like PDF or DOCX with one of those programs or a dedicated converter like FileZigZag.
