A text frame is an object containing parts of a text flow. A text flow is a single contiguous flow of text, over multiple text frames. Choose Object Text Frame Options, or hold down Alt (Windows) or Option (Mac OS) and then double-click the text frame using a selection tool. Change text frame options, and then click OK.
Move and resize text frames Use the Selection tool to move or resize text frames. Note: If you want to move or resize a text frame without switching from the Type tool to a selection tool, hold down Ctrl (Windows) or Command (Mac OS), and then drag the frame.
Add a border to selected text Select a word, line, or paragraph. On the Home tab, click the arrow next to the Borders button. In the Borders gallery, click the border style that you want to apply.
Change a flows tag or Autoconnect setting Click in a text frame in the flow. Choose Format Customize Layout Customize Text Frame. Enter a tag for the flow in the Flow Tag text box. If you want FrameMaker to add a new page when you fill the last column on a page, select Autoconnect. Click Set.
Flow text automatically With the loaded text icon displayed, hold down Shift as you do one of the following: Click the loaded text icon in a column to create a frame the width of that column. InDesign creates new text frames and new document pages until all text is added to the document.
You thread text frames with the Selection tool. A red plus sign in the lower-right corner of a text frame indicates overset text. The Selection tool lets you drag a graphics frame (and its graphic) to move it, and it lets you move a graphic within its frame. The Generate QR Code command is in the Object menu.
