in this alteryx tips and tricks video were going to look at the formula tool and how we can quickly manipulate it using xml i have a covet 19 workflow open and im still doing development lets go to the relevant portion of the workflow i see two formula tools side by side i have five fields here and five different fields in the second tool i want to combine both of these formula tools into one so how could i do that well i could add five new fields to this and go to the other one and copy and paste the text over and over thats kind of tedious there is a better way now for this way we need to enable a setting so lets go check that out under options well go to user settings edit user settings we need to go to the advanced tab under advanced you want to make sure that you have display xml and properties window checked once you have that in your configuration window youre going to see a new icon and if you hover over it says xml view so thats what we want so ill go to my second too
