today were looking at the evaluate formula tool in Excel its a great feature that helps you troubleshoot a formula or just evaluate how how your formulas working to use it you start by selecting the cell that your formula is in then you go to the formulas tab on the ribbon and over here in formula auditing youre gonna click on evaluate formula so itll open up this window here and youll see your formula you see right now weve got a really simple formula in there and whatever is underlined is the step thats currently being evaluated and since this is pointing to another cell if we want to we can click the step in and it will show us itll jump us to that cell you can see that our cursor moved over here and this is showing us that all its in that cell right now is the number 100 so well step out and that takes us back up to here and you see its now evaluated that to be 100 and now weve got our notes evaluating b8 so lets step in there and we can see that that contains another
