okay today weamp;#39;re going to talk about how to convert an open office text document to a docx file which is just an xml file which any microsoft word program can use i like openoffice just because itamp;#39;s open source not proprietary i like microsoft word the issue is sometimes if youamp;#39;re trying to share files with other people that have microsoft word theyamp;#39;re unable to open the dot odt file that openoffice saves things in so here we have this is a text document and weamp;#39;re just going to save it in open office as youamp;#39;ll see we donamp;#39;t have an option here to save in the docx format so what weamp;#39;re going to do is just save it as a new document in the odt format on our on my desktop iamp;#39;m not going to close out of openoffice go to the desktop and hereamp;#39;s our new document weamp;#39;re going to right click on it open with and we are looking for wordpad which i donamp;#39;t see that yet click on more apps and thereamp;#39;s wo
