in this video I am going to show you a few different options that you have for inserting the date in Google Docs so many users are not aware of these features that you have for inserting date so that is what Im going to show in this video so the first method that Im going to show is inserting date just using the insert option at the top of the menu so what Im going to do here is Click into my document and then insert and then from this drop down were going to select date from here at the date picker calendar opens up on your screen and you can select any date that you wish with this calendar if you want to insert the current date you can select this today option at the bottom and so that is the first method of inserting the date in Google Docs its just through insert date now there are some keyboard shortcuts that you have for inserting the date and to do this youre using the at symbol and then typing date and then um you have a few different options that you can do here so at da

A files last modified date refers to the date and time that a file is last written to. Typically, a file is modified or written to when a user opens and then saves a file, regardless of whether any data is changed or added to the file.
Words CREATEDATE field shows either: the date the document was created; or the date the document was last saved via Save As, whichever is the later (obviously). Therefore, Word cannot tell you directly whether the CREATEDATE field shows the actual date the document was created.
To change the creation date on Word document settings, select the File Properties tab and check the box next to Modify File Date and Time Stamps. The dates are located below, and you can manually change the creation date and, if desired, the date and times of edits and modifications.
How to change date format in Microsoft Word document Open the merge document in Microsoft Word. From the Insert drop-down menu, select Date/Time. Select the appropriate format. Click OK. Save and close the merge document.
Click Insert Function in the Insert Formula dialog box. Under Categories in the Insert function dialog box, click Date and Time, and then under Functions, click addDays. Click OK.

To edit the date, click the gray box, type a new date, and then click outside the box. To change the date back to the current date, click the date field and click Update. Note: If you manually change the date and then save and close your document, the next time the document is opened, Word will show the current date.
