To change data types using the Data Model, select the column you want to convert, click the Modeling tab, and select the appropriate data type from the drop-down menu.

To refresh a worksheet, press Ctrl + F5. To refresh a workbook, press Ctrl + Alt + F5.
Refresh data automatically when opening the workbook Select the PivotTable to show the PivotTable Analyze tab. Select Options. On the Data tab, select Refresh data when opening the file.
Right-click a data type Data Type Refresh Settings. In Data Types Refresh Settings, select one of the data types in the workbook to expand it. Select one of the options to apply it to that data type. You can either refresh when you open the file, manually, or automatically every five minutes.
To refresh the data, right-click a cell with the linked data type and select Data Type Refresh.
Change Data Source Step 1: Click anywhere in the pivot table to show the PivotTable Tools on the ribbon. Step 2: Click the Analyze tab. Step 3: In the Data group, click Change Data Source. Step 4: In the Change PivotTable Data Source dialog box, select the new data source and click OK.
To add a new data table property: Select Edit Data Table Properties. Go to the Properties tab. Click on the New button. Enter a name for the new property. Select a data type for the new property. Enter a value to use as default value for the property. Click OK.
