hi and in todays Microsoft Word tutorial Im going to show you three different ways you can insert a tick or a check in a box so lets get started okay so Ive got three example boxes here what Ive done is Ive enlarged them because sometimes is a little bit tricky to see but Ive also put a smaller text box here and this is something that you may well get in your fillable form and this is actually a piece of text so this has been inserted as if youd insert some letters on your page so the first thing Im going to do is Im going to go up to the draw icon and select a pen of my choice if I want to change the color of the pen I can do or I can change the width of the pen nib as well which is here so Ill just keep it on black and Ill just use a small one here so all you can do is you can just go back onto your page and click and drag and just tick the box now if you liked the tip but its too big and you wish that you could change that tick then thats fine just press the Escape key

Most women will have at least one abnormal Pap smear result in their lifetime, with an overall average of 5% of all Pap tests coming back as abnormal. In most cases, the abnormal result is nothing to worry about, but its important to follow up to make sure.
A Pap smear is a safe way to screen for cervical cancer. However, a Pap smear isnt foolproof. Its possible to receive false-negative results meaning that the test indicates no abnormality, even though you do have abnormal cells. A false-negative result doesnt mean that a mistake was made.
An abnormal result means that cell changes were found on your cervix. This usually does not mean that you have cervical cancer. Abnormal changes on your cervix are likely caused by HPV. The changes may be minor (low-grade) or serious (high-grade). Most of the time, minor changes go back to normal on their own.
ASC-US is the most common abnormal Pap test result. ASC-US stands for atypical squamous cells of undetermined significance. Squamous refers to the type of cells that make up the tissue that covers the cervix.
Cause. Most abnormal Pap tests are caused by HPV infections. Other types of infectionsuch as those caused by bacteria, yeast, or protozoa (Trichomonas)sometimes lead to minor changes on a Pap test called atypical squamous cells.
For any screening test there is an inherent false negative rate, which is approximately 10 to 20 percent for Pap smears. Despite the false negative tests, the success of the cervical cytology screening program has led patients to expect 100 percent accuracy.
Its up to 30 percent of people [who] are falsely positive. Women who have a positive Pap smear generally get a colposcopy, which is an even closer examination of the cervix, vagina and vulva for signs of disease. A false positive could mean going through a biopsy during a colposcopy.
In most cases, an abnormal Pap test is a result of: A human papillomavirus (HPV) infection. A sexually transmitted infection (STI or STD), such as herpes or trichomoniasis. A bacterial or yeast infection. Inflammation in the pelvic area. Normal cellular changes that occur with age.
The risk that atypical glandular cell (AGC) abnormalities reflect precancerous changes is as high as 35 percent, the risk of cervical cancer is as high as 1 percent, and the risk of endometrial (uterine) cancer is as high as 3 percent [2,4-6]. For most people with AGC, colposcopy is done as a next step.
The reasons for abnormal pap smears usually include human papillomavirus (HPV), cervical dysplasia, cervical cancer, trichomoniasis and other sexually transmitted diseases (STDs), inflammation in the pelvic area, and vaginal infection.
