How to Vary chart in ACL

in a previous lecture I showed you how you can create a dynamic column chart to show variances now was dynamic in the sense that if your bars were on the positive side of the axis they had a different color so if they were on the negative side of the axis and this was automatically controlled by Excel it wasnt something that was done manually and not only that but the color of the data labels was also changing if they were on the positive side too if they were on the negative side of the axis in the example we had the sales information for the actual year and I had created a normal column chart on that then I was showing the change to previous year with this specific chart underneath it and they were in sync so you could easily tell this is the value for the actual year and thats the change to previous year now what I dont like about the various charts is that the bars are too big they kind of distract from the actual data it will look much better if the variance bars are much thinn

The primary difference between a 100% stacked area chart and an ordinary stacked area chart is the y-axis scale charts percentages instead of quantities. Together, the percentages on the y-axis add up to 100%. You might use this type of chart when you want to analyze the relationships between different data groups.
The Stacked Area Chart type only works well when more than two series are present. When only one series is plotted, such a graph becomes a simple Area Chart. At the same time, the number of series in a Stacked Area Chart should be kept moderate as too many series may well hinder its legibility.
As with the Area Chart, the Stacked Area chart is often used to visualise a trend in data over intervals of time, the difference is that the Stacked Areas are used to display how several quantities combine to make a whole, as it shows how each part or category contributes to the whole amount.
Area charts are used to represent cumulated totals using numbers or percentages (stacked area charts in this case) over time. Use the area chart for showing trends over time among related attributes.
Line graphs are used to track changes over short and long periods of time. When smaller changes exist, line graphs are better to use than bar graphs. Line graphs can also be used to compare changes over the same period of time for more than one group.
Area: Like line charts, area charts show changes in values over time. However, because the area beneath each line is solid, area charts are useful to call attention to the differences in change among multiple variables.
You will use a stacked area chart when you want to track not only the total value, but also want to understand the breakdown of that total by groups. Comparing the heights of each segment of the curve allows us to get a general idea of how each subgroup compares to the other in their contributions to the total.
