Important: If you already set up your work or school account in the Microsoft Authenticator app, you dont need to do it again. Go to the Security info page using the steps above. Select Add sign-in method. Select Choose a method and then Authenticator app. Select Save.
To access your sign-in settings: Click on Accounts in your Windows Settings menu. Under Sign-in options, youll see several different methods for signing in, including using your fingerprint, a PIN, or a picture password. Here, you can adjust how to sign in to your device.
To change your default security info method On the Security info page, select Change next to the Default sign-in method information. Choose Microsoft Authenticator - notification from the list of available methods. Select Confirm.
To edit the authentication method in Power BI Desktop or Excel: Do one of the following: In the Data source settings dialog box, select Global permissions, choose the data source where you want to change the permission setting, and then select Edit Permissions.

Select File Info. Select Protect Workbook, point to Restrict Permission by People, and then select Restricted Access. In the Permissions dialog box, select Restrict permission to this workbook, and then assign the access levels that you want for each user.
