XHTML documents must use lower case for all HTML element and attribute names. This difference is necessary because XML is case-sensitive e.g. and are different tags.
XHTML 1.0 Strict is the XML equivalent to strict HTML 4.01, and includes elements and attributes that have not been marked deprecated in the HTML 4.01 specification. As of November 2015, XHTML 1.0 Strict is the document type used for the homepage of the website of the World Wide Web Consortium.
An XML attribute is an identifier associated with an XML tag. It has a unique name in the context of the tag, and a string value. A tag can have any number of attributes, including none.
Javascript can be used to change the attribute(s) of a HTML element, such as a paragraph, a header, an image, or a list, or any various HTML elements. For example, by changing the src attribute of an img tag, we can change the image entirely to something else with Javascript.
The method attribute specifies how to send form-data (the form-data is sent to the page specified in the action attribute). The form-data can be sent as URL variables (with method=get ) or as HTTP post transaction (with method=post ). Notes on GET: Appends form-data into the URL in name/value pairs.
Element.setAttribute() Sets the value of an attribute on the specified element. If the attribute already exists, the value is updated; otherwise a new attribute is added with the specified name and value. To get the current value of an attribute, use getAttribute() ; to remove an attribute, call removeAttribute() .
To set a value of an attribute on an element, you use the setAttribute() method: element.setAttribute(name,value); let link = document.querySelector(a); link.setAttribute(title,JavaScript DOM setAttribute); let btn = document.querySelector(a); btn.setAttribute(data-method,post);
createAttribute() creates an Attribute Node, setAttribute() creates an Attribute Node on the respective Element Node. So to slightly rephrase, setAttribute() is attached to an element, and createAttribute is not attached to an element allowing you to attach it later on.
We can make it happen using JavaScript. Using JavaScript, lets look at setting the new attribute for the HTML element or changing the attribute values dynamically. To change the attribute value of an element, we need to access that element in JavaScript either using element id, class name, or any other way.
