What Are Your Options for Submitting Recommendation Letters? Technically, there are two options for submission: online or by mail. Note the use of or; colleges dont want teachers to mix and match. In other words, schools dont want a single teacher to submit her ranking form online and then send her letter by mail.
Most schools provide a letter storage service via their career center or some other resource. There are also online letter holding services such as Interfolio. You can ask your letter writers to send the letter directly to the service or upload it whenever they are ready.
Information Go to the Recommenders and FERPA section of a school in the My Colleges tab. Scroll down until you see the Teacher or Other Recommender section. Click on the box to select the Teacher or Other Recommender you want to assign. Click on the Assign button to assign that recommender.
When a letter of recommendation is requested from you, you will receive an email notifying you of the request. After receiving a request, you can upload the letter directly to Interfolio, or, if your requester has provided you with a document request form, you may choose to mail your letter to Interfolio.
