To ONLY protect or lock individual cells in Excel without locking the whole worksheet: Select the whole worksheet using either Ctrl + A or click in the top left corner of the sheet (little pale arrow). Right click any cell and select Format Cells . Now select the cells or the range that you want to protect.
With the text box selected, choose Text BoxPositionMore Layout Options and check the Lock anchor option.
To lock the callouts to the graph, first select the callouts. Then, go to the Format menu and select Size and Properties. In the Size and Properties window, select the Lock Object checkbox. Now, when someone tries to move or resize the callouts, they will be unable to do so.
Go to the Protection tab and uncheck Locked option and click Ok. Now select only the cells or columns, rows that you want to protect. Right click and choose Format cells again. Go to the protection tab and check Locked option and click Ok.
To do this, click on the cell and then press Ctrl + 1. This will bring up the Format Cells dialog box. In the Protection tab, uncheck the Locked checkbox and then click OK. The cells should now be unlocked.
Open a Word document that has text boxes. Click the Review tab, then click the Restrict Editing button in the Protect group. Word displays a pane allowing you to manage editing permissions for specific parts of the document, including text boxes.
If your text box and line are not part of the chart itselfif they can be moved outside the bounds of the chart by dragging them off the chartthen you can lock them in position by grouping objects.
Windows: If possible, remove password encryption or restricted access from the file. Go to File Info Protect Workbook and remove any passwords or restricted access settings. Turn off the Refresh data when opening file setting on all tables and PivotTables in the file.
Lock Specific Cells Right-click and then click format cells. On the protection tab, check the locked checkbox and then click OK.
