So first letamp;#39;s look at the most basic situation. Thatamp;#39;s while youamp;#39;re editing text. Pretty much everybody knows how to use Undo for that. So you could go ahead and change something in your text and then go to Edit, Undo Typing and it will undo the change. This also works if you delete something. How do I rebuild a corrupted Final Draft script? Go to File Export (in FD13 / 12 / 11 the command is File Export Document / Script); Direct this window to save the file to the Desktop; Change the file name to something simple like bob; Change the Save As Type menu (Windows) or the Format menu (Mac) to Plain Text;

Steps Navigate to the File tab in Word. Then click Open. Select Browse and go to the location or folder where the corrupted file is stored. Select the corrupted file and click the drop-down arrow next to the Open button. Click Open and Repair. If successful, the document will open.
To recover an unsaved Final Draft file via Manage Versions, open Final Draft and go to the File menu. Select Manage Versions and look for any autosaved versions of your document. Choose the most recent version and click Restore to recover your unsaved work.

If you want to undo anything youve written or changed in your script go to Edit Undo. This reverses the last editing action made to a script. It performs the same function as Command + Z (Mac) or Ctrl+ Z (Windows) on the keyboard.
How to Fix Corrupted Files Perform a check disk on the hard drive. Running this tool scans the hard drive and attempts to recover bad sectors. Use the CHKDSK command. This is the command version of the tool we looked at above. Use the SFC /scannow command. Change the file format. Use file repair software.
Only one version of Final Draft can be open at one time, so check to see if another version is running. If there is, close it and you should then be able to open the version you want. If Final Draft still doesnt open, please open a support ticket and a technician will investigate.
