Use Ctrl+Z for undo and Ctrl+Y for redo. Limitations: After saving and closing the document, some actions may be irreversible. Not all actions in Word can be undone.
To undo an action, press Ctrl + Z. To redo an undone action, press Ctrl + Y. The Undo and Redo features let you remove or repeat single or multiple typing actions, but all actions must be undone or redone in the order you did or undid them you cant skip actions.
To undo an action press Ctrl+Z on your keyboard, or select Undo on the Quick Access Toolbar. You can press Undo (or Ctrl+Z) repeatedly if you want to undo multiple steps. Note: For more information about the Quick Access Toolbar, see Customize the Quick Access Toolbar.
For quicker access, you can also use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl + Z (Command + Z on Mac) to undo actions in PowerPoint. Press this shortcut repeatedly to undo multiple actions in sequence.
Undo an Action: Click the Undo button in the top left corner of the toolbar. Or, use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl+Z. Multiple Undos: Click the arrow next to the Undo button. Pick the desired action from the drop-down menu.
To undo an action, press Ctrl + Z. To redo an undone action, press Ctrl + Y.
You can use the little arrow on the far right of the toolbar; click it for a choice of options. If you dont see Undo listed, click More Commands to access all available commands and choose to add Undo.
If its there, all you need to do is open Word and click on the File tab. Then, look for the Recover Unsaved Documents option and click on it. You can then search for the Word document you want to recover, click Open, and if you can open it, youll be given the option to save it.
