The initial undo tablespace size is normally 16MiB. The initial size may differ when a new undo tablespace is created by a truncate operation.

About Undo Data When a transaction modifies the database, Oracle copies the original data before modifying it. The original copy of the modified data is called undo data.
The UNDOTABLESPACE parameter can be used to assign a specific undo tablespace to an instance in an Oracle Real Application Clusters environment. If AUTO , use automatic undo management mode. If MANUAL , use manual undo management mode. A dynamic parameter specifying the name of an undo tablespace to use.
To change the size of the undo tablespace in Oracle, you can either resize an existing datafile or add a new datafile to the tablespace. -- Resizing datafile. SQL ALTER DATABASE DATAFILE /opt/oracle/oradata/XE/XEPDB1/undotbs01.
