Ctrl Y is a keyboard shortcut that performs the function of redo in most software applications. The redo function is used to reverse the last command or action that was undone by the undo function.
To undo an action, press Ctrl + Z. To redo an undone action, press Ctrl + Y. The Undo and Redo features let you remove or repeat single or multiple typing actions, but all actions must be undone or redone in the order you did or undid them you cant skip actions.
In most graphical applications for the majority of the mainstream operating systems (such as Microsoft Windows, Linux and BSDs), the keyboard shortcut for the undo command is Ctrl+Z or Alt+Backspace, and the shortcut for redo is Ctrl+Y or Ctrl+Shift+Z.
Keyboard shortcuts are the fastest way to undo and redo actions on your Mac. The shortcuts are Cmd + Z for undo and Shift + Cmd + Z for redo. You can also access the undo and redo actions through the Edit menu in most Mac apps. Simply click on Edit and select Undo or Redo.
To undo an action press Ctrl+Z on your keyboard, or select Undo on the Quick Access Toolbar. You can press Undo (or Ctrl+Z) repeatedly if you want to undo multiple steps.
In the document manager, click Recently Deleted in the left sidebar. Select a document or folder, then click Recover at the bottom of the window (or choose it from the items More menu ). The selected item moves back to its former location in the document manager (under Browse and Recents).
Undo the last action: Choose Edit Undo (from the Edit menu at the top of your screen), or press Command-Z on your keyboard. Redo the last action you undid: Choose Edit Redo, or press Command-Shift-Z.
