To remove shading from rows or columns, under Style Options, remove the checkbox next to Banded Rows or Banded Columns.
Click the worksheet that is displayed with a sheet background. Make sure that only one worksheet is selected. On the Page Layout tab, in the Page Setup group, click Delete Background.
