Renewal of an active subscription does NOT qualify as a new subscription purchase. An eligible QBank subscription can be reset only once during its active period. Once it has been reset, another reset is not possible, regardless of the remaining subscription time or purchase of a renewal.
As you progress, aim to complete 80 to 120 questions each day, equating to 2-3 blocks. This ensures comprehensive exposure to most, if not all, questions before the test day. Now, considering the extensive pool of questions in UWorld, the influx of daily or weekly additions can be overwhelming.
Tests cannot be deleted once they have been generated. If you have accidentally ended a test block and caused questions to be marked as omitted, you can continue the test by going to the Previous Tests section and clicking Resume adjacent to the test in question.
At the beginning of your dedicated study period, it will take longer to review each question. If you guess on an answer, you can mark the question, and then complete those marked questions again later if you have time in your study period.
The trick to managing this volume is to make a schedule and stick to it. For most students, this means getting through three blocks of 40 questions per day, 5-6 days per week.
On timed mode, UWorld allows 90 seconds per question (the same amount of time allowed on the Step 1 exam). Thus, a standard 40-question block will take students no longer than one hour.
UWorld alone is not enough. You should use UWorld along with these tips to effectively prepare for Step 1: Combine UWorld with other resources, such as First Aid and NBME self-assessments. Start with a small question pool at the beginning of each topic to determine which concepts you need to focus on the most.
