It is possible that your default printer is changed or the printer is deleted from settings. That is why it is asking you to save it because it cant find the printer to print. While printing, make sure the correct printer is selected under the Printers or Destination list/field.
You can choose to print a document to a file instead of sending it to print from a printer. Printing to file will create a PDF, a PostScript or a SVG file that contains the document. This can be useful if you want to transfer the document to another machine or to share it with someone.
Stop or cancel a print job in Windows print queue From the Windows start menu, select your printer, and then open the print queue window to view the list of print jobs. Right-click the print job that you want to cancel, and then click Cancel.
Details Select Setup. Select Option. Select System. Select Advanced. Select Print to File. Check the box for Print to file. Uncheck the box for Print to file.
Follow the steps below to cancel a print job. Press the power button to turn off the printer. Hold down the command key on your keyboard and press the period (.) key to cancel the print job.
Press the Windows Key + S, begin typing and click on Turn Windows features on or off. Find Microsoft Print to PDF and check or uncheck the box next to that.
In the Print dialog box for your specific printer , look for an option that prints to file. Now uncheck this option. You may also want to check the documentation at the printers manufacturer site.
Stopping and restarting print queues (Windows) Step 1: Open the Printers scanners menu. If the print job is currently in progress, double-click on the printer icon located in the taskbar in the bottom right-hand corner of the screen. Step 2: Open the print queue. Step 3: Delete the print job.
