Stopping and restarting print queues (Windows) Step 1: Open the Printers scanners menu. If the print job is currently in progress, double-click on the printer icon located in the taskbar in the bottom right-hand corner of the screen. Step 2: Open the print queue. Step 3: Delete the print job.
Clear Print Queue Select Start. Type Command. Right-click Command Prompt and select Run as administrator. Type net stop spooler then press Enter. Type del %systemroot%\System32\spool\printers\* /Q then press Enter. Type net start spooler then press Enter. The print queue on your Windows should now be cleared.
As an example, entering 26-1 will print page 26, then 25, etc. Go to File Options Advanced, scroll down to the Print section, and check the box for Print pages in reverse order. Remember to turn the option off after printing, unless you want to print every document in reverse.
Once in the printer menu, look for the Printer History or Print History option. This is where your printer stores information about recently processed print jobs. Select the Delete or Clear option to remove the print history from the printers memory.
Unfortunately, printers typically do not store a history of the documents that have been printed. Once a print job is completed, the printer doesnt retain a record of the document. However, there are a few potential ways you could try to retrieve the document.
Reverse Press Ctrl + P to open the Print dialog. In the General tab, under Copies, check Reverse. The last page will be printed first, and so on.
Cancel printing from Windows On the Windows taskbar, at the bottom-right corner of the screen, right-click the Printer icon. Select Open All Active Printers. In the Active Printers dialog box, select the printer you want. In the printer dialog box, select the print job you want to cancel. Click Document Cancel.
