hi everyone day in day out I see bad analytics implementations that often send PII to sources that it really should not be sent to with privacy regulations becoming more stringent around the globe and large fines being handed down more often it is more important than ever to be aware of who your data is being shared with I thought it best to share with you how I detect if a site is sharing PII I have set up a sample site that I have named sketchy loans to demonstrate how data tree can be used to detect PII exposure this is Christopher Brown he is a persona that I have created to use in this test that I have set up data true will examine all network traffic and locate any instances of Chrisamp;#39;s information that is found once the persona is created it can be shared with other tests I can either select to run these tests remotely or locally on my laptop I can instruct data true to run this test on a schedule this allows data true to intermittently check for PII exposure and notify m

Use the Document Inspector to Remove Hidden Data To open the Document Inspector, click File Info Check for Issues Inspect Document. The PowerPoint Document Inspection window shown below opens up. Click Inspect to identify hidden content, and click Remove All to remove the item of your choice.
Click the File tab to go to Backstage view. From the Info pane, click Check for Issues, then select Inspect Document from the drop-down menu. Document Inspector will appear. Check or uncheck the boxes, depending on the content you want to review, then click Inspect.

Remove metadata from several documents Open the folder with Excel files in Windows Explorer. Highlight the files you need. Right-click and choose the Properties option in the context menu. Switch to the Details tab. Click on Remove Properties and Personal Information at the bottom of the dialog window.
