How to undo paragraph in ODM

hi and welcome students and this Microsoft Word 2016 tutorial Iamp;#39;m gonna be going over how to display formatting marks letamp;#39;s get started so youamp;#39;ll see that on my blank document here I currently do not have any formatting marks being shown and formatting marks are great because theyamp;#39;re a helpful way to view non-printing characters on your document so basically every time you press the Enter button spacebar or even other things like putting in section and page breaks itamp;#39;s going to show you that those things are there but it wonamp;#39;t actually print them out let me give you an example first off letamp;#39;s figure out how to turn them on if I go to the Home tab the paragraph group and I click this button right here formatting marks show / hide itamp;#39;s going to show hidden formatting symbols this is especially useful for advanced layout tasks so if youamp;#39;re doing something like formatting a resume or doing some sort of APA or MLA forma

If you cant select a line to delete, it might actually be a horizontal line, which is a type of border.
To turn formatting marks on or off, do the following: In the message window, on the Format Text tab, in the Paragraph group, click the button that looks like a paragraph mark. (When you point your mouse at the button, the tooltip says Show/Hide ). Keyboard shortcut CTRL+SHIFT+*.
Select the text that you want to return to its default formatting. On the Home tab, in the Font group, click Clear All Formatting. On the Home tab, in the Font group, click Clear All Formatting.
Find the Display option from the list on the left-hand side of the pop-up windows screen. Look at the Always show these formatting marks on the screen, section, the second one down. Notice the checkbox next to the paragraph symbol labeled Paragraph marks. Unselect the box to turn off the paragraph marks.
You can use the find and replace function to find and replace format and special. (The options are hidden under the More button.) If you select paragraph mark (or symbol, whichever you are needing) you can remove those by replacing with nothing.
To get rid of lines, follow these steps: Select the line and hit delete. If that doesnt work, go to the Home tab and click the Borders button to modify existing borders. Right-click on the paragraph with the line and select Paragraph from the menu. Go to the Borders tab and make sure no border is selected.
How do I get rid of the paragraph symbol in Word for Mac? You can fix this in Word Preferences. Under View, there is a section on nonprinting characters, uncheck Paragraph Marks.
