Please find the steps for eliminating line breaks using Find and Replace: Select all cells where you want to remove or replace carriage returns. Press Ctrl+H to open the Find Replace dialog box. In the Find What field enter Ctrl+J. In the Replace With field, enter any value to replace carriage returns.
Delete a page break Select the worksheet that you want to modify. On the View tab, in the Workbook Views group, click Page Break Preview. You can also click Page Break Preview. Do one of the following: On the Page Layout tab, in the Page Setup group, click Breaks. Click Remove Page Break.
On the Home tab, in the Font group, click Clear All Formatting. On the Message tab, in the Basic Text group, click Clear All Formatting.
To remove a whole load of line breaks from within a worksheet you can use the Find and Replace tool. Youll find this on the home tab, or you can use the CTRL + H keyboard shortcut.
To remove dotted page break lines, go to File Options Advanced uncheck Show page breaks. To remove border lines, select the cells. Click the Borders down-arrow, then No Border.
To start a new line of text or add spacing between lines or paragraphs of text in a worksheet cell, press Alt+Enter to insert a line break. Double-click the cell in which you want to insert a line break (or select the cell and then press F2).
Place the cursor in the Find what field and use the keyboard shortcut Control + J (hold the Control key and press the J key). You may not see anything, but this puts the line break character in the Find what field. In the replace field, enter a comma followed by a space character (, ) Click on Replace All.
Trim Spaces for Excel - remove extra spaces in a click Select the cell(s) where you want to delete spaces. Click the Trim Spaces button on the ribbon. Choose one or all of the following options: Trim leading and trailing spaces. Trim extra spaces between words, except for a single space. Click Trim.
