Undo is a command that allows you to easily reverse the last action you performed on a computer. Whether you accidentally deleted text or made another mistake, with the Undo command, you can quickly reverse the error. Many software applications and programs support Undo.
Undoing the Previous Command If you make a mistake in vi or if you just change your mind after an operation is completed, you can undo your last command by pressing u immediately after the command. You do not need to press Esc after you type u .
To undo an action, press Ctrl + Z.
