Search for backups on your computer Open the notebook where you lost recent notes. Choose File Info Open Backups. In the Open Backup dialog box, note the folder names that appear. Each folder represents a OneNote notebook thats stored on your computer.
Use the Undo Icon At the bottom of an open note, tap the pen icon to open Markup, where youll find two arrow icons at the top of the screen. Tap the arrow pointing left to undo the last change.
If iCloud Syncing is enabled and you want to revert to an older version of your note, you can do so with the steps below: In the Library, press and hold or right-click on a notes name. Select iCloud Version History. Select a version to restore it. The restored version will be downloaded as a separate note.
One way is to open your note in the Notes app, click the Edit menu in the menu bar at the bottom of the screen, and choose Undo or Redo, depending on what you want to do. Another way is to use a keyboard shortcut. To undo, press Command + Z , and to redo, press Shift + Command + Z .
Undo the last action: Choose Edit Undo (from the Edit menu at the top of your screen), or press Command-Z on your keyboard. Redo the last action you undid: Choose Edit Redo, or press Command-Shift-Z.

As with almost any application on the Mac, Command-Z is your friend when it comes to undoing in Notes. Click Command-Z once to undo your most recent change to a note and a second time to undo the one before that. Keep going until youve undone as much as you need to.
If you benefit from viewing items against a dark background, you can use Invert Colours to change how content is displayed on your screen. To use Invert Colours, open the Settings app, then tap Accessibility Display Text Size. Turn on Smart Invert or Classic Invert.
iCloud periodically saves versions of your note which you can recover. If iCloud Syncing is enabled and you want to revert to an older version of your note, you can do so with the steps below: In the Library, press and hold or right-click on a notes name. Select iCloud Version History.
