To adjust the padding for a table in Word, we click into the table, go to the Layout tab within the Table Tools and open the Cell Margins. Here, we can now set all margins to 0, so that the table content starts directly at the cell margin. You can see, that we still have some padding at the bottom of the cell and to also remove this padding, we have to do 2 things. First, we select the whole table and in the Cell Size section, we type in 0 for the cell height. This will ensure that the cell height will automatically resize with the text. Now, since there is still a space left at the bottom of the cell, we know that our table content has a paragraph spacing that we need to remove. Therefore, we select the whole table, go to the OTHER Layout tab which is NOT in the Table Tools, and here we now set the paragraph spacings to 0.
