hi guys so if you want to remove any file association in your windows 10 and set it to none okay for example this is a particular kind of file with a particular kind of type file type and it somehow got associated with notepad and whenever i click it it opens with notepad in your case it may get associated with any other kind of app and you want to reset that association remove that association file association so how to do that itamp;#39;s very easy first of all what you have to do just search file explorer options in windows 10 search box now click on file explorer options now click on view tab and make sure this is unchecked okay by default it is checked just uncheck this option hide extension for known file types click on apply click on ok now create a file on desktop or anywhere else a new text document okay name it anything name it anything as your wish and the extension can be anything it can be one two three four okay r x y z x y z okay once you rename it this message

RTF files are simple to use and easy to edit. On Windows, save a document as an RTF file by navigating to File Save as and then select RTF.
