Merging Two Specific Individuals Go to the Family tab on the People workspace and click the name of one of the duplicate individuals in the index. Click PersonMerge Two Specific Individuals. A message asks you to back up your file. Before performing any major changes, we recommend that you create a backup.
Unless you delete a whole tree at once, people can only be deleted from a tree one by one.
Steps (website) In Family Tree, display a person page. If the Details section is not displayed, click Details. In the Research Help section, click a Possible Duplicate message. Click Review Merge. Decide if the records are about the same person. Decide what information to keep. Click Continue. Finish the merge:
Deleting a fact Go to the Person tab on the People workspace for the appropriate individual. Click the Facts button. Right-click on the fact that you want to delete and select Delete Fact from the drop-down list.
If your computer doesnt meet the minimum system requirements for Family Tree Maker, the program will not work well. As with all programs, a faster processor, more RAM, and more free disk space will enhance performance.
You just do 3 step for remove a person from Family Tree Maker. Select the person you want to delete from a tree. Click the Tools menu and select Delete this person from the option that opens. To permanently delete a person, click Delete.
After you have selected the group of individuals you want to delete, right-click one of the highlighted boxes, select Delete from File, then click Selected Persons from the menu that appears. The Delete Selected Persons window will appear, with the list of selected individuals displayed.
Steps (website) Sign in to FamilySearch, and click Family Tree. Then click Tree. Find the profile that you want to delete. Click the name. Click the Details tab. On the right, find Tools. Click Delete Person. Review the information in the Delete Person window. Provide a reason that you want to delete the profile.
In the Family Tree mobile app, you can detach a source. Navigate to the person page. Tap Sources. Tap the source that you want to detach. On the upper right, tap the 3 dots. Tap Detach. Enter a reason to detach. To confirm, click Detach.
Removing a fact or event From the profile page of someone in your tree, click the Facts tab. In the Facts column, hover over a fact and click the Edit button that appears. In the bottom-right corner of the opened window, click Delete. To confirm, click Delete.
