Go to Document Header and Footer. Type your information into the header where you want it to show on the page. Note that this information will appear on every page of the script. If you need custom information for a particular section of the script (i.e. act or scene number) you should use a label.
You can customize the appearance and color scheme of the display by going to Settings General Appearance on Mac, or View Appearance on Windows. System sets Final Drafts color scheme to be controlled by the operating systems.
Page Margins The top margin needs to be one inch. The bottom margin, and your right- or outside margin can vary from that by up to a quarter-inch. The left, or inside, margin needs to allow space for the three-hole punch binding for when your screenplay is printed, so that should be about one-and-a-half inches.
If you want to undo anything youve written or changed in your script go to Edit Undo. This reverses the last editing action made to a script. It performs the same function as Command + Z (Mac) or Ctrl+ Z (Windows) on the keyboard.
How do I change a scripts format from a screenplay to some other With your file open, go to Format Elements Settings (Windows) or Format Elements (Mac); Click Apply a Template; On Mac you will get a list of various formats. OK your way back to the script and it will now be formatted in the template you chose.
Under Document Page Layout Options are the four possible line spacing settings: Loose, Normal, Tight and Very Tight: Set to Normal, a 100-page (exactly) script in the default Final Draft screenplay template (US Letter) repaginates (roughly) at: Loose: 106. Tight: 95.
The only file type the FD Go and Mobile app can open is FDX, the format used by Final Draft.
