On the Message tab, in the Actions group, click Other Actions, and then click Recall This Message. Click Delete unread copies and replace with a new message or Delete unread copies and replace with a new message.
If you think you received an email that was then recalled, you can check it with the Recover Deleted Items feature. Just select the Deleted Items folder and check it for any recalled emails. If you have a Trash folder but not a Deleted Items folder, then your account doesnt support recalled email recovery.
Try it! Select the Sent Items folder. Select or double-click the message so it opens in another window. Select File Info. Select Message Resend and Recall Recall This Message, and select one of the two options. Select the Tell me if recall succeeds or fails for each recipient check box. Select OK.
Right after you send a message, you can retract it: In the bottom left, youll see Message sent and the option to Undo or View message. Click Undo.
Open the message that you want to recall and replace. On the Message tab, in the Actions group, click Other Actions, and then click Recall This Message. Click Delete unread copies and replace with a new message or Delete unread copies and replace with a new message.
Choose an amount of time to recall a message On your computer, go to Gmail. See all settings. Next to Undo Send, select a Send cancellation period of 5, 10, 20, or 30 seconds. At the bottom, click Save changes.
Double click the message that you want to recall navigate to the Message tab and click the dropdown menu for Actions. Among the options, choose Recall This Message.
How do you recall it? Unfortunately, you cant. Message recall is not available for users with email addresses ending in @outlook.com, @hotmail.com, @live.com, or @msn.com. These are web-based email services where once you send an email message, its gone from your email server and out of your control.
Double click the message that you want to recall navigate to the Message tab and click the dropdown menu for Actions. Among the options, choose Recall This Message.
If you are in luck and recalling the message actually works (see more details what is required for it to work below), the email will be deleted and replaced with the new, correct one. There will be no trace of the original email that you recalled, the receiver will never know that you recalled the email.
