letamp;#39;s delete a table of contents that we have in our work document say we no longer need it we just want to get rid of it as quickly as possible so we click anywhere in the box where the table of contents is in Word 2019 and then we go up to this little picture of this piece of paper and hit the drop down list and from here we click on remove table of contents and now itamp;#39;s gone

Select the table. After you select it, the Table tab will appear. Select the Sort option under the Table tab. Click on the dropdown menu next to Sort option and select Sort table Ascending or Sort Table Descending depending on how you want to sort your table columns content.
Open the file you were working on. Select File Info. Under Manage Documents, select the file labeled (when I closed without saving). In the bar at the top of the file, select Restore to overwrite any previously saved versions.
How to recover an overwritten Word document by restoring it to its previous version Create a new Word document. Assign it the same name as your original document. Right-click on the file from your desktop. Click on the Properties option that appears on the menu. Click on the Previous Versions tab.
Undo an Action: Click the Undo button in the top left corner of the toolbar. Or, use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl+Z. Multiple Undos: Click the arrow next to the Undo button. Pick the desired action from the drop-down menu.
Delete a table of contents Go to References Table of Contents. Select Remove Table of Contents..
Use Ctrl+Z for undo and Ctrl+Y for redo. Limitations: After saving and closing the document, some actions may be irreversible. Not all actions in Word can be undone. Customize: Adjust the number of times you can undo through File Options Advanced Editing Options Maximum number of undos.
To reverse your last action, press CTRL+Z. You can reverse more than one action. To reverse your last Undo, press CTRL+Y.
Checking the Recycle Bin Double-click the Recycle Bin on the Desktop. Search through the list of documents to see whether the deleted Word document is still there. If you find the desired Word file, right-click the file name, and then select Restore to recover the file.
