hey everyone Professor Hank here and today weamp;#39;re going to talk about binary files in C plus plus to start with consider if you try to write the number 8675 to a text file what would end up in the text file youamp;#39;d end up with four separate characters one for the eight one for the six one for the seven one for the five so to store those four characters you would need four bytes because one character is a bite when weamp;#39;re talking about A Primitive character data type so you would need four bytes to store that in the file compare that to storing that number in an unsigned short integer so if you were to store 8675 in that variable how many bytes would you need youamp;#39;d need two bytes so two bytes because an unsigned short is two bytes so the store 8675 is an unsigned short two bytes to write it into a file four bytes why whatamp;#39;s the difference well the difference is a big reason or a big advantage step binary files potentially have over text files so when

Reverse Engineering of a binary is a process of analyzing and understanding the behavior of an executable file in order to obtain information about binary like its code, instructions, functionality and some hidden juicy information.
In Java, we can delete a file by using the File. delete() method of File class. The delete() method deletes the file or directory denoted by the abstract pathname. If the pathname is a directory, that directory must be empty to delete.
To extract or open a bin document, follow the steps stated under. Open Terminal. visit your applications on Ubuntu and look for Terminal. Mark the file as executable. Mark the record as executable the usage of chmod command. $ chmod +x filename.bin.
An advantage of programs stored in binary is that they can be executed very quickly because they are smaller than text files with an equivalent amount of data. By default, we cannot view or edit binary files with normal programs or text editors. Instead, we need special utilities and hex editors to access binary files.
The first step in reverse engineering a binary is to identify its platform, or the operating system and environment it was designed for. This can help you narrow down the possible architectures, file formats, and system calls it may use. Some common platforms are Windows, Linux, macOS, Android, and iOS.
Protection of intellectual property: Reverse engineering may infringe upon copyrights or other intellectual property rights if it is used to copy, reproduce or distribute protected material without the owners consent. Many legal systems consider such cases as a crime (e.g. piracy).
There have been numerous tools developed for decompilation, such as Ghidra Ghidra (2024) and IDA Pro Hex-Rays (2024) . Although these tools have the capability to revert binary code to source code in specific scenarios, they often fall short in producing code that is easily readable by humans.
