Ctrl + K + C : Comment out the selected code. Ctrl + K + U : Uncomment the selected code.
If needed, you can turn off the resolved status again by clicking Reopen or by right-clicking in the comment and selecting Reopen Comment.
Ctrl + K + U : Uncomment the selected code. Ctrl + / : Toggle line comments. Ctrl + K + F : Format the current file.
Visual Studio does have keyboard shortcuts for Comment and Uncomment, but they are the unfortunate double-shortcut combinations: Ctrl+K, Ctrl+C to comment, and Ctrl+K, Ctrl+U to uncomment.
Example of how it should be: Open Notepad++ Create block comment. Move keyboard cursor inside of it. Invoke Edit-Comment/Uncomment-Single Line Uncomment (Ctrl+Shift+K) Block now is uncommented.
Select all code and uncomment with Ctrl + K + U. The result will uncomment the code but make the text uppercase.
Uncommenting the Lines: Enter command-line mode with : and type s/^#//, then press Enter. This command will remove the # character from the beginning of each selected line.
Navigate to the desired line. Right-click and select Source Uncomment from the menu. Alternatively, you can press Ctrl+\.
