If youre using Excel for Office 365, right-click the cell and choose Edit Note. If you need to delete the note, right-click the cell and choose Delete Comment. To reopen them (i.e. undo Resolve comment), simply type a reply in the text box. This will bring back the comment thread and will also send an email notification to the document owner and the person who made the original comment.

Heres how to view resolved comments in Google Docs. Click Open comment history. In the panel, click the down caret beside Comments, and click Resolved. If you want to restore the resolved comment, click the More options icon, which looks like three dots stacked vertically ( ⋮ ), and then click Re-open.
