when i am negotiating a contract itamp;#39;s quite often that the indemnification clause doesnamp;#39;t even even seem to be read so i get very few red lines back on it but my view as a former litigator who actually tried a couple of indemnification cases to judgement these are actually really super important clauses welcome to the contract teardown show from law insider where legal experts tear down contracts from some of the most well-known companies and high-profile executives around the world in this episode eric dratel general counsel at bruce defy tears down microsoftamp;#39;s online subscription agreement he gets into the indemnification clause and the other sections that might undermine it we talk about using clear language making sure you donamp;#39;t get tied up in long-winded litigation and staying afloat when i p is at stake this is a great breakdown of one of the most potentially contentious sections of an agreement so letamp;#39;s tear it down hey everybody welcome t

About Undo Retention Period in Oracle database : when Automatic undo management is enabled, there is always a current undo retention period, which is a minimum amount of time for which the database retains the old undo information before overwriting it.
UNDORETENTION specifies (in seconds) the low threshold value of undo retention. The system retains undo for at least the time specified in this parameter and automatically tunes the undo retention period to satisfy the undo requirements of the queries.
If MANUAL, undo space is allocated as rollback segments. If AUTO, automatic undo management is used.
The amount of time for which undo is retained for the Oracle Database for the current undo tablespace can be obtained by querying the TUNEDUNDORETENTION column of the V$UNDOSTAT dynamic performance view. Oracle generally recommends that you leave UNDORETENTION set to its default value.
A retention period is a pre-established timeframe for how long data will be stored for. For example, a business may have a 3 year retention period where data is stored securely for 3 years, then destroyed after that retention period has passed.
The term retention period is closely linked to the archiving of documents and defines which documents or which types of documents must be kept in the company and for how long. More precisely, retention periods describe which legal requirements exist for archiving certain business documents.
The amount of time for which undo is retained for the Oracle Database for the current undo tablespace can be obtained by querying the TUNEDUNDORETENTION column of the V$UNDOSTAT dynamic performance view. See Also: Oracle Database SQL Reference for more information about creating undo tablespaces.
UNDORETENTION: This shows how long it will be in the UNDO segments for read consistency in SECONDS. Necessary UNDOSIZE: Shows the required size to cater for the current UNDORETENTION of (in this example) 900 Seconds.
