my crafty resolution for 2023 is to try and make sure Im actually using all the new goodies I bought last year and right now Im working my way through my new stencils today Im going to try out a couple of new techniques with my gel plate including one that uses five of my new stencils all on one card curious me too and if youre someone who doesnt use a gel plate dont worry Im going to show you how to get a similar look with ink blending Im starting with a simple technique that gives dramatic results Ive got my five by seven inch gel plate out and Im putting down some of my favorite colors of dilution Shimmer paints yellow pink blue and fuchsia I know these will blend nicely together and give me a pretty mix I put down a half sheet of Neenah index paper this paper is lighter than cardstock but its thicker than printer paper and I actually bought it by accident thinking it was card base weight but it turns out I really like it for gel printing its a nice layering weight for
