[Music] [Applause] hello welcome back to my channel today I wanted to talk to you about something really simple but that a lot of people get wrong hopefully this will make everything much clearer for you if you have trouble with this today were gonna talk about underlining versus quotation marks now first thing I need to clarify is that underlining and italics are exactly the same thing in terms of grammar the only difference is that you tend to use italics when youre typing and underline when youre writing longhand if your handwriting is anything like mine ie not very good its really hard to make your handwriting look like italics Ive had students that have pulled it off really well but aint nobody got time for that so just underline well what do you use one of those as opposed to quotation marks well Im gonna take you on a little little journey back here to my book case I think this is going to make things pretty clear for you so what you do you use underlining or italics for
