Hi everyone, Kevin here. Today I want to show you how you can create your very own fillable form using Microsoft Word. First off, what is a fillable form? You can have people go in and fill out a form, but they wont be able to edit the questions or the structure of the form. You can use things like check boxes, text fields, drop down lists, date pickers, to build your form. Once someones finished completing your form, they can e-mail it back, they could print it out, or you could even connect it to a database. Connecting to a database is outside of the scope of todays tutorial. Its kind of like an docHub PDF form, but its Microsofts version of it. Ive included sample files today if you want to follow along, otherwise lets jump on the PC and lets get started. Open a new Word document and then click File, Options and then click the Customize Ribbon tab. Check the Developer box and then select OK. The Developer tab displays on Words ribbon interface. Enter the headings that you want to include on your order form as regular text.
The quickest way to underline text is to press Ctrl+U and start typing. When you want to stop underlining, press Ctrl+U again.
Firstly, click Underline under Home tab and choose one line style. Then press Shift+ Underscore to get a line. Then place cursor above the line and type the content.
How to insert a line in Word by typing Place the cursor where you want the line to appear. Type the same character three times (see the list below for all the options). Press Enter. Click Insert in the ribbon tabs and then, in the Illustrations section, click Shapes.
