Hey there everyone, Rob Grant here with BIMsmith. Just wanted to do a quick video about type catalogs. So, one of the questions that we receive on a regular basis about the content we create that has a lot of families is how do you manage those families? The number one answer of those is when there is a style or a model, or whatever it might be, is type catalogs. I am going to review some of the type catalog features or functionalities and we are going to go over that real quick. I am ironically working on my house here, kind of my home office, wanted to do a little bit of furniture layout. I am going to load a family, but the shortcut is L-F, and I have already navigated to the imperial furniture system standing desks, and I am going to load a standing desk family. Load a Family with a Type Catalog Create and place the type catalog in the same location (directory) as the family that you want to load. In a Revit project or template, click Insert tab Load From Library panel (Load Family). Navigate to the directory containing the family you want to open.
