whats going on guys Tosca here and in this video we are going to talk about using Windows resources to define styles in your window in a window of your WPF application but before I get started I do want to mention my school semester just started so my output of videos may not be as rapid as it once was but I do want to try and stay on top of it because I actually enjoy making these but I just want to throw that forewarning out there anyways so now to get started were going to talk about like I said doing Windows resources to define styles to be reused in our window now the resources essentially is an object that holds certain style information or templates that we can then later use in the saml of our window or user control or page so we can first do a window resources tag inside of our first window here and then this is essentially where we will predefined sounds like a dictionary which will actually talk about a little later so its like a dictionary of styles or templates and what

Right click on a button in design surface. Choose Edit Template-Edit a Copy. Choose Define in Application radio button. The Style will be created in App.
Styles provide us the flexibility to set some properties of an object and reuse these specific settings across multiple objects for a consistent look. In styles, you can set only the existing properties of an object such as Height, Width, Font size, etc. Only default behavior of a control can be specified.
Two Ways To Use Style On Controls In WPF Application Step 1 - Create a project named WpfTestApplication of WPF application. Step 2 - Its a better approach to create the folder named css in the project to store the style files. Step 3 - Add a Resource Dictionary named MyStyle. xaml in the css folder.
Style ToolTipDataPointStyle = new Style(typeof(LineDataPoint)); //Template ControlTemplate template = new ControlTemplate(typeof(LineDataPoint)); FrameworkElementFactory gridElement = new FrameworkElementFactory(typeof(Border)); gridElement.Name=Grid; gridElement. SetValue(Grid. NameProperty, Root); gridElement.
You can change the default appearance by setting properties, such as FontSize and FontFamily, on each TextBlock element directly. However, if you want your TextBlock elements to share some properties, you can create a Style in the Resources section of your XAML file, as shown here.
Style ToolTipDataPointStyle = new Style(typeof(LineDataPoint)); //Template ControlTemplate template = new ControlTemplate(typeof(LineDataPoint)); FrameworkElementFactory gridElement = new FrameworkElementFactory(typeof(Border)); gridElement.Name=Grid; gridElement. SetValue(Grid. NameProperty, Root); gridElement.
The most common way to declare a style is as a resource in the Resources section in a XAML file. Because styles are resources, they obey the same scoping rules that apply to all resources. Put simply, where you declare a style affects where the style can be applied.
