Fn14 is expressed by many cell types, including epithelial, mesenchymal, and endothelial cells (Burkly et al. 2007). Fn14 was initially described as a fibroblast growth factor (FGF)-inducible immediate-early response gene in murine NIH 3T3 cells (Meighan-Mantha et al. Fn14 - SpringerLink SpringerLink SpringerLink
ing to prior research, CD34 expression has been detected in various types of cells, including hematopoietic stem/progenitor cells, multipotent stromal cells (MSCs), muscle stem cells, interstitial cells, fibrocytes, and endothelial stem cells (Table 1).
CD44 is an acidic cell surface adhesion protein that is broadly expressed, including in the membranes of B cells, granulocytes, monocytes, and erythrocytes as well as on many thymocytes and mature T cells.
The Tumour necrosis factor (TNF)-like weak inducer of apoptosis (TWEAK)/Fibroblast growth factor-inducible 14 (Fn14) pathway is one such signalling cascade implicated in the pathogenesis of TNBC and other solid tumours.
