The TWICs with missing fingerprint information can be identified by the 8-digit Credential Identification Number (CIN) that is printed on the back of the TWIC.
Your occupation must be listed as Merchant Mariner in order for the Coast Guard and Homeland Security to communicate. Call the TWIC help desk at 866-347-8942, select option 5.
Should I use my KTN or TWIC CIN for my airline reservation? A: Both your KTN and TWIC CIN are valid to obtain TSA PreCheck eligibility. You may enter either the TSA PreCheck KTN or CIN into your airline reservation.
If it is not received within the 10-day period, applicants have 60 days to report non-receipt of the card by visiting the TSA Enrollment website or calling (855) 347-8371 weekdays from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. ET.
TWIC cardholders must use an active TWIC Credential Identification Number (CIN) that has not been canceled. The CIN is printed on the back of each TWIC card on the left side under the 1D barcode.
What if I dont receive a response? TSAs goal is to provide you with a response within 60 days of receiving the information you provided at enrollment. This may take longer if there was difficulty capturing your fingerprints during enrollment.
