let me start by saying this effect can take some time depending on the logo but will give you a great result lets get started this patch tutorial starts in Illustrator Im using an old Cardinals logo that I designed some time ago I remove the highlights and only use the main colors distort each color with roughen go to effect distort and transform and then select roughen for size Im using 0.2 detail 10 to see your result click on the preview icon at the bottom of the dialog box you can select all the layers at once or individually to apply the effect once you have your desired roughing effect on the logo copy and paste it into Photoshop now in Photoshop use the magic wand tool and select the outline color hold command + J to put the selection on its own layer do this for all the colors in the logo you should now have all the colors in the logo on its own layer create a new layer and fill it with black go to filter noise add noise Im using 40 for the amount uniform distribution and m
