AMIs must not contain passwords, authentication keys, key pairs, security keys, or other credentials for any reason. AMIs must not request or use access or secret keys from users to access AWS resources.
There are two authentication types present in the aws auth method: iam and ec2 . With the iam method, a special AWS request signed with AWS IAM credentials is used for authentication.
An Amazon Machine Image (AMI) is a template that includes all the information you need to spin up a new Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2) instance. An AMI can be used to launch multiple new instances, all with the same underlying configurations.
AWS multi-factor authentication (MFA) is an AWS Identity and Access Management (IAM) best practice that requires a second authentication factor in addition to user name and password sign-in credentials. You can enable MFA at the AWS account level for root and IAM users you have created in your account.
Leveraging Intel SGX secure enclaves, AMI TruE enables secure computing, easy to deploy workload attestation and secure application keys without compromising confidentiality to deliver a secure data center solution that is scalable, extensible and built for cloud-to-edge applications.
An Amazon Machine Image (AMI) is used to create virtual servers (Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud or EC2 instances) in the Amazon Web Services (AWS) environment. Different types of instances can be launched from a single AMI to support the hardware of the host computer used for the instance.
