Hey, everyone, Im Manoella with Plytix. In this video, Ill show you how to use and save filters in the product overview so that you only see the products relevant in the moment. Filters and Plytix are basically our answer to: one the lack of team collaboration and spreadsheets and two, having to manage and update different spreadsheets or tabs for different sets of data. One of the main benefits of adopting a PIM system is that all of your data is centralized reducing the amount of duplicate data that you have around. But we get it. Sometimes you dont want to or need to see all of your data. Filters are great for this because they let you segment your products into smaller groups so that you can see and manage data for a specific set of products without having to create an entirely new spreadsheet for it. So lets take a look at how we work with filters in Plytix. When youre in the product overview table you should see the filters menu on the left hand side of the page. If you don

How to parse data in Excel Insert your data into an Excel spreadsheet. Select the column that contains the data you want to parse. Choose the Data tab in the ribbon. Click the Text to Columns option. Select Delimited in the dialog box. Choose a delimiter that exists within your data.
attribute: A characteristic of some object or entity, typically encoded as a name/value pair.
Data parsing is converting data from one format to another. Widely used for data structuring, it is generally done to make the existing, often unstructured, unreadable data more comprehensible.
Parsing data means you break it down into separate components. For example, you split a column of full names into one column for first names and one for surnames. There is more than one way to extract data from Excel and send it elsewhere.
This is an option in the dialog box that allows you to parse data more easily. It lets Excel understand multiple delimiters next to each other only count as one, helping to transfer the data you want into the correct columns.
Computer programmers often use parsing programs to convert text into formats that other applications can use. Parsers split items in a text string into separate fields. If, for example, you have a business database application that reads comma-delimited input files, a parser can help you create a comma-delimited file.
Put the mouse pointer over the bottom right-hand corner of the cell until its a black plus sign. Click and hold the left mouse button, and drag the plus sign over the cells you want to fill. And the series is filled in for you automatically using the AutoFill feature.
On the Attributes tab, right-click and select New Attribute In the Data type drop-down list, select the type of attribute from the drop-down list. In the Text field, enter the attribute text. Click OK to create your attribute.
